Background
Bank of Ireland had a strategic vision to deliver finance transformation through their 1Finance programme. Part of this programme included redesigning and implementing the Bank’s executive Monthly Performance Reporting (MPR) pack.
In order to achieve this objective, the Bank developed a business requirements catalogue, functional and non-functional specifications for the 1Finance Business Intelligence programme.
System Dynamics was chosen to design, build and test the solution.
Solution
- System Dynamics managed and delivered the required services as parallel streams on the project:
- Training – System Dynamics trained the entire Bank of Ireland business performance management team in the chosen Business Intelligence technology.
- Functional and Technical Specifications – System Dynamics analysed the business requirements and the IT architecture and documented artifacts required to undertake the development.
- Monthly Reporting Project Build – System Dynamics increased on-the-ground resources to develop the Business Intelligence content and work with the Bank’s architectural and data teams.
- Test – System Dynamics provided a test team and comprehensive test plan and the relevant personnel to execute the test plan.
- Centre of Excellence consulting – System Dynamics provided post project consulting on the key lessons learned from the project and the key processes that should be put in place to assure a successful DW/BI lifecycle programme.
